- 1:1 Family Support
For more information have a look at our online calendar or if you are not sure what might suit your child ring the Centre on 0117 9030271.
1:1 Family Support
Our Family Support team can offer specific 1:1 family support and signposting. This service is confidential and we will not disclose any information without your agreement, unless we consider a child or adult is at risk of harm.
We work with many other agencies to offer a joined up approach and to give you and your family the best service. Some of our partner agencies include: North Bristol Advice, Home Start, Early Help, Health Visitors, Speech and Language Therapists.
As a parent or carer you can refer yourself for 1:1 support by contacting us at the Children’s Centre. You could also ask your midwife or health visitor to refer you to our service.
During 1:1 sessions we can offer advice and support around:
- Child development
- Managing children’s behaviour
- Sleep/ routines
- Financial support
- Housing support
- Getting back into work or training
- Breastfeeding
What happens after a referral is made?
You will be allocated a family support worker to work with you. They will contact you to arrange a convenient time to meet you either at home or at the Children’s Centre. During this visit you will set some actions and agree a time scale for when the actions will be achieved.
